I purchased this sander to take off layers of polyurethane on 12 tables and 2 cabinets at the family restaurant. Finished the job in six hours, ran this sander on the highest speed the whole time and had no problems (this is a variable speed sander, dials can be set from 1 to 5, hardly any vibration from lowest to the highest setting). The Makita BO5041K 5-Inch Random Orbit Sander Kit has great reviews and an average rating of 4.1 stars. Customers were very complimentary on how easy this is to control and use. The buttons and dials are well placed, the sander fits comfortably in your hand and works like a dream. The dust collection system is pretty good and will help you to have a clean workspace. The only negative comments we have come across relate to the durability of the pad which costs $25 to replace but to be fair to the Makita BO5141K  overall the customer feedback was very positive.

We think the BO5141K is ideal for sanding and finish sanding of wood, especially projects that are rounded or have curves. Makita has done fantastically with this sander; the overall design is great and customers are very happy.
